Splendor country, a resort at outskirt, is an hour drive from Pune. I happen to be there on one weekend with my friends. A distance worth crossing on bike with your pals to enjoy sheer beauty of nature.
During our MBA we used to visit our college farm house at Kudje village. That used to be our base camp for various treks that we had during those days. I had admiration for Splendor country, which was just few kilometers away from it, since then. Though I have never been to Splendor country resort but the area nearby is nice to spend an evening.
As usual my friends picked up their bikes and I picked up my favourite Pulsar (definitely male!) and we all headed towards Splendor country to make our evening memorable. The winter season is a perfect for people like us to wander around and explore area nearby. Since this was just an hour drive it was a quick decision to visit there. For almost last one and a half year I haven't visited this area.
It is same as it was. Pune has changed its face in last two years but this area is yet untouched by greedy builders. It will take another year for development clouds to reach this place. But the day is not far. These are the photos from my visit to a wonderful place called Splendor country.
